Always Catching Envy is a rap artist from Cape Town, South Africa. Originally born in Zimbabwe, he moved to Cape Town with his family at the age of 6 and has called South Africa his home ever since. Richly influenced by the Cape Town culture and American Hip Hop greats, he blends together his passion for both.
At the age of 23 Always Catching Envy is constantly showcasing his love for the art of music and it’s influence on him. With a very versatile flow it’s not uncommon to find Catching Envy spitting bars over genres ranging from Alternative and Indie to EDM and Trap. First led to the craft of Hip Hop by New York based, Queens Bridge rapper Nas, Catching Envy is always building on his arsenal of influences by artists such as Ludacris, KiD CuDi, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Childish Gambino, Drake, Mos Def, Caskey an Vince Staples. Catching Envy is proud of his home and never forgets to pay homage to his family and to his city.
